All the staff were able to communicate well in English which was a big relief. The Hotel itself was clean and tidy, comfortable and very well organised. The free shuttle bus allowed us to have a relaxing holiday outwith the hustle of the city centre but ran constantly during the day at apprpriate times. Breakfast and Dinner were very nice... more

This hotel is a little out of the way, but it offers a regular free bus in and out of central rome. Dropped you in a very easy to find place, and ran quite late into the evening, had no problems with it at all. Was quite nice to go back to a quieter area. Room was fine, we didn't... more

Last Visit:October 2007, I was given room #221 on 10/3/2007, the carpet looked like it had been in a barnyard, all the table tops were dirty with glass rings on them, the bathroom countertop had dirty black glass rings on it, the bath countertop at the back of the sink rim had a 1/2 inch of crud along it, the... more

The hotel was clean and the facilities were good. The pool was full sized, and made a great place to go back to after a full day sight seeing. The breakfast was great, with lots of choice including eggs, bacon and sausage if required. The complimentary bus service was excellent and run at convenient times. The staff were helpful and the... more

Overall appearance of the hotel, rooms and breakfast buffet were alright, but we booked this place for the pool. Once there we found that the pool closes at 7p.m.....just when you'd like to relax and take a cool dip after a full day of walking in Rome. They don't have a free shuttle from the airport so it cost us... more

I've only been to Rome once, so I don't know if this hotel is par for the course for Rome or what, so I'm comparing it to a US Hotel, I'd give it a 2/5. We lost power twice in our room. Our AC worked but some family traveling with us didn't have working AC. The second to last day... more

When I walked into the hallway, I was quite surprised to see how dirty the walls and carpeting were. The room was not much better. It had a musky smell and the bedcover looked like it had not been washed for quite a while. The bathroom was very small and had mildew. Service was awful. The front desk staff made... more

We were booked by a travel agaent probably because the hotel offers a lot of specials. The hotel must have at some time in the past been a nice hotel. But there is no effort to maintain the upkeep of the hotel. The common hallways have shabby capets. The rooms are not maintained. The bedcover looks ancient, the air conditioning... more

Most everything about my stay (May 30 to June 4) at the Jolly Midas in Rome was a big disappointment. The carpets are threadbare and badly stained, air conditioning was inadequate -- we had to open windows instead of depending on the AC -- and service was perfunctory at best. The hotel is classified as a 4-star property but I... more

Overall this hotel is ok. Needs a bit of up-dating, peeling wallpaper in our bedroom and dated bathroom with large water stain on ceiling caused by a previous leak. Public areas such as the corridors to the rooms also shabby. Also on a negative side although its location is outside of Rome and costs 7 euros to get there from... more
