A surprise weekend for my husbands 50th birthday...AND Hotel Traiano is full of surprises!!! The only direct comparison with the Hotels web page is the 'Front Door ' of the Hotel. The Bedroom was terrible, the bed was about 12" of the floor, with one pillow each and they were as flat as a board, carpet worn.curtains that were once white... more
I read some mixed reviews before staying here, but it was really good and I'd definitely recommend it. The location is excellent, slap bang in the middle of Rome, close to the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain. We walked everywhere, and enjoyed being able to wander into town and walk home easily and safely at any time of night. I'd definitely... more
I stayed one night at this hotel during a trip for work. The location is pretty good. My single room was on the small side, but clean, comfortable and nice enough really. The bathroom was a bit awkward (very cramped), but also clean and functional. The reception staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. Not sure about value for money... more

The position of this hotel is very nice. And probably it was a nice hotel...around 40years ago... The room had a terrible smell. Bathroom was so small that it was almost impossible to close the door from inside. The telephone in the room was so uncomfortable, that it was impossible to keep it down, so it was always busy !!!... more
(1)The Location:- The hotels location could not be better, it is central to all the main attractions... 10 minute walk to the colleseum and roman forum, and is central to all the main via's (roads) via del corso is worth a strole down, as all the main tourist attractions lead off this street, eg, spanish steps, trevi fountain etc.and shops... more
Hotel Traiano was clean, with courteous staff. Room was small but clean, bathroom well groomed. My room (2 nights) was on the street but not too noisy with the windows closed. Usual continental breakfast, good quality (no hot foods though). Center of the action to sight-seeing, easy to walk to all major sites and the shopping district. Knowing what I... more
My partner and I recently stayed for a week at the hotel and overall found it to be a very pleasant experience. We arrived to find a slight difficulty with our bathroom furnishings but without delay, the hotel staff presented us with an alternative room. The bedroom was sufficent for our needs: routinely cleaned in an expert manner. The staff... more
We booked this hotel after arriving in Rome. The hotel we reserved was near the train station and not as close to the sights as we would have liked. After a while, we realized why this hotel had vacancies in the middle of the busy tourist season. We had two rooms for 4 nights,so we spent a considerable amout. The... more
