Hotel Nerva is indeed a very pleasant place to stay. I would say that there is no hotel in a better location. The hotel is located approximately 200 metres from the main road leading up to the Colosseum, the Forum and the Trajan Markets to name but a few of the sites. As it is down a small side road... more

Hard to find an aqequate sized triple room in a central location with parking available. Surprisingly quiet. Staff was accomodating, helpful, and friendly. Breakfast was great. Central location made walking everywhere easy. Very good value. We were all pleased by the Hotel Nerva and would definitely return. more

We stayed here on our stopovers in and out of Rome and it was a great location. We walked to most of the major sites and took the subway to the Vatican which was very convenient. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Rome. more

The hotel is located very close to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum/Palatine. It's not particularly centrally located but it's not a bad location either. It's a bit of a hike to the Spanish Steps (20 minutes walking), but Trevi Fountain is only 10 minutes away. If you're in good shape and don't mind walking, the location here would be... more

We had a room overlooking the tiny street and facing a wall from the Forum. We could open our french doors to the outside world, but when we closed them, silence descended. Good glazing on the windows! The bath was tiny and the shower was a bit problematic for my tall husband. Breakfast was good-- the capuccinos are good here.... more

We are a family with 2 children 9 and 15. We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Nerva. Their hospitality was very much appreciated. The breakfast was superb and the coffee exceptional. Breakfast consists of sugar coated croissants, cheese and meat, toast, bread, different cakes each day, fruit and delicious coffee. But try not to be late for breakfast. The... more

Hotel Nerva has a great location close to the forum on a quiet street. We heard no street noise at all. The hotel is family owned and operated. The staff -- particularly Anna -- were very friendly and helpful in every way. On the other hand, our room was on the small side and was a little tattered. The bathroom... more

We loved our stay at the Hotel Nerva in Rome. This 3-star hotel should be qualified as 4-star! We stayed in one of the "newly added rooms"... very nice, clean & spacious. Bathroom was a bit tight for space but typical for any European stay. The only problem we encountered was with the shower "water pressure" at times. Otherwise, every... more

We also found this hotel using Rick Steves, and as his opinion was seconded by Trip Advisor reviews, decided to book it for 3 nights. Couldn't have been happier. The location is on a relatively quiet (for Rome) one-way side street right next to part of the Imperial Forum and only a few blocks from the Colosseum. Plenty of good... more

We were very pleased with Hotel Nerva. We were always greeted cheerfully by the staff and they were very helpful, showing us tourist attractions on the map, making coffee "American style," organizing our taxi to the airport and making us feel very welcome and at home. The rooms were small, but very comfortable and clean. Although the shower was also... more
