This hotel was a great find. I must compliment the hotel on its friendly and helpful atmosphere. First, location: We found the hotel to be a great location and excellent value for money. The hotel is located about 5 mins walk from the railway station (10 mins from the platform that goes to Rome Airport). This was incredibly convenient when... more

the augusta lucilla palace is very clean and comfortable and ideally located near the Termini for easy access to all of rome. Spacious rooms, we stayed on the 5th floor where rooms have balconies. Rooms cleaned and towels changed daily, good breakfast included. Staff very helpful. Transport system in rome is excellent and we took the terevision bus from Ciampino... more

We stayed for 4 nights. We found the Hotel to be extremely clean and tastefully decorated. The location is perfect for all the tourist sightseeing, transport links and restaurants. We were returning on an early morning flight to Ireland and the night manager had put aside a 'picnic breakfast' for us, without being asked, as we would miss the main... more

We just returned from our stay in Rome. I had booked a pricy hotel that we stayed at previously fearing the worst if I went with a cheaper place. At the last minute I took a chance and switched to the Augusta Lucilla Palace. We were not disappointed. 1st it's within 2 blocks of Termini so you can easily walk... more

This hotel was really very nice. It looked like it had just been recently renovated. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The location was good and close to train and metro stations. This made it really easy to get around. I would highly recommend this hotel. more

Minutes away from the Termini station in Rome, great location to the metro, open top buses, and the colosseum. The room size is standard for Europe and the newly renovated rooms, were extremely clean. The bathroom was lovely and I agree that the shower stall is on the smaller side, however I live in the middle east and thats just... more

We stayed for two nights at this recently renovated hotel which is deemed 4 stars but which is really a 3 star by North American standards. Our double room was quite small, with only a closet and a desk and chair besides the bed(see pictures). The bathroom was modern but the shower stall was very tight, and would pose a... more

Terrific location. We are walkers so we were able to go anywhere we wanted from the hotels central location. We wheeled our suitcases from the train station (3 minutes) into the hotel. Room was a good size for european standards. It was updated and modern. View wasn't that great but we weren't there to look out the window. Breakfast was... more

Just returned from a 2 night stay at this hotel. Guest rooms were modern and well appointed and looked new - not sure when the hotel opened. Great location in walking distance to the train station and sigh seeing busses we used for two days to see all of Rome. We did not make it to breakfast either day so... more

Pros: - photos of the hotel are not deceiving - convenient location, we walked everywhere, including going to vatican city - room is quite big, could comfortably walk around the bed - shower pressure is very good - loved the vanity - loved the coffee (the best we had in Italy), it looks very black, but it's very good, we... more
