We went to the Time Elevator on 25th Sept having seen it advertised in our hotel. At the entrance to the street where it is located someone was handing out flyers giving a discount. We walked straight there and handed them the flyer we had been given about 30 seconds before to be told it was not valid! We paid... more

After a 2 week trip around Italy we liked the idea of sitting down and being 'entertained' for a bit. oh well, that didn't last very long. The 1 hour combined show's are very over priced. The first 'horror' 3D show that we watched was awful. shocking story and poor graphics. if it wasn't for the 3D effects i would... more

Having seen the ancient Rome sites, this visit to the Time Elevator was 'the icing on the cake', so to speak. Most of us are visual learners and this is the ideal way to see how Rome truly was. It's a fast paced, exciting journey into the past and really enables us to capture a glimpse of Rome and it's... more

When in Rome on a hot summer day, there is only so much gelato and granita you can bribe your kids with, so that they will 'endure' yet another visit to a monument or museum. We found this attraction to be a perfect incentive for our sons ages 10 and 12: we wanted to do some sightseeing to roman ruins... more

As much as I loved the Sistine Chapel in person, nothing can compare to the experience and knowledge I gained from viewing it in a 5D form. I was awestruck by the incredible technology which brought the past to present! Because as TED (time elevator device for you rookies!) would say, in Rome, the past is always present! This brief... more

We enjoyed the experience it was fun, I was away with another couple but my kids would have loved it (very disney!!) A mad proffessor takes you on a time travel journey through roman history. You are in seats which jerk around to give the impression you are travelling in a time machine. It was a fun 40 minutes and... more

This "virtual reality" attraction in Rome was fun for our 7 year old, and actually very educational, particularly the film on the history of Rome. The "ride" aspect does get a bit annoying, especially when the film narrative does not need movement ... for example in the part of the film that shows the murder of Julius Caesar in the... more

This almost ruined our trip to Rome. They actually show a bloody killing of Caeser and a crucification in great detail, plus the motion machine is just jumping around for no reason. Our daughters hated it and had to leave in the middle and then had nightmares from it. Don't even think of going! more

Are you kidding? Find a 30 minute video of the history of Rome, rent it, and save 11 Euro. The movie/attraction was informative but brief. The reason to shake your seat until you are sick (while watching the short movie), is beyond me. Skip it (if you can find it). more

We visited The Time Elevator at the end of October 2005 and it was great fun. A virtual reality ride through Rome's history lasting about 40 minutes and including a quiz before you go on the ride itself. My 9 year old son thought it was brilliant and we found it fun and informative too. It's quite thrilling but not... more
