What a great sightseeing experience! This series of crypts is located underneath a small church just next door to the Lamborghini dealership! November 2006: Toured the Crypt first thing in the morning before going to the Coliseum. Fascinating and beautiful (just a bit eerie) - perhaps not the best stop for the squeamish before breakfast. I loved this place, truely gruesome and bizarre because they have created art out of the bones of dead monks. Best site in Rome! However, in 2004 it was closed for rennovations so check to see if it has reopened before getting too excited. more
