No matter what religion you are the Vatican can’t fail to inspire. The museum’s art blows you away, St Peter’s Square has you in awe and the Basilica has to be experienced to be believed. Don’t expect to ever see it all but have fun trying. more

I am writing this review as a non religious person. Piazza san Pietro is stunning! Here you will find the opportunity to see the Swiss guard (very dandy), you can buy your post cards and stamps and send them through the vaticans postal service (take a pen, they charge 1 euro to buy one). This is where you will find... more
Go there on a Sunday and try to be in St. Peter's Square at 12 when the Pope makes his weekly appearance... The experience is truely electrifying! The Vatican Museum is well worth the queue, and be prepared to queue! On the last Sunday of the month the Vatican museum is free to visitors so expect a bigger queue, but... more
An amazing place steeped in history and the most amazing art and architecture all under one roof - the centre of the Catholic and Christian world with amazing roof top views of Rome and the under belly is equally astounding with the sleeping place of many previous Popes including John Paul II. A day could easily be spent here if... more

Web site: http://www.pnac.org/general/visiting_vatican.htm#contact We ordered the tickets on line and got a response the next day. Since after April 1, the... more
My intention was just to pop into the Vatican museums and the Sistine Chapel to say I'd seen it, but I ended up spending three enjoyable hours being constantly amazed. The Raphael rooms were my highlight, I think more spectacular than the Sistine Chapel. A couple of points: I advanced booked the museums on the internet, paying a 4 Euro... more
We went to Venice, florence, Assisi, and Rome. We loved the ancient rome tour and the piazzas of Rome, but The vatican was the best experience we had. We did a tour of St. Peters, and the museum. We did the underground SCAVI tour which was very cool and I highly recommend. We went to the Christmas eve mass with... more
The whole place breathes a very strong sense of spirituality that is religious and secular. The vibe is so great that you may not be of a certain (or any) faith to take in the gravity of the compound.Initially put off by the terribly long queue, we were not disappointed to have joined the line as it is very fast... more
I have always wanted to visit the Vatican and when I got the chance to visit Rome the Vatica was the first thing I wanted to go and see and I was not disappointed. I was so impressed by the sheer size of the square and the Basilica. I made the climb to the top of the Dome ( would... more
