It's really just a small square filled with tourist restaurants. We sat at a pizzeria and other than the interesting martyr statue in the middle, it was boring. Piazza Navona was closeby and much more fun. more

This was probably one of our favorite places to enjoy ourselves in Rome. Full of young Italians as well as foreigners, Campo is a square with bars all around-- Magnolia was our favorite! Our first night in rome...we didnt know WHERE to go..our cute little old man taxi driver was like...im taking u 2 Campo de' Fiori cause that where tutti i giovani (all the young people) are. so we agreed. and was he right the place was PACKED with people. we got gelato there, and walked in2 the piazza for coffee. everyone... more

It was simply entertaining. Wish we could have stopped for longer. There is such a atmosphere wathcing the people haggle for food etc. Great atmosphere if you are a foodie or simply sit in one of the cafes and enjoy the spectacle of the markets. more

The Campo de' Fiori is an incredibly beautiful and eminently practical place, so I'd say it's very Italian! Come any day but Sundays or holidays and you can choose from a kaleidoscopic array of foods, flowers and plenty of other treats. Best of all, it's still really there for Romans - not a tourist joint. more

I found nothing there but an open space with some bars on the edge. Not of interest at all. Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Piazza Navonna, or Piazza del Popolo are all much more interesting.
